Welcome to Six Palms Studio. I am Holly Metz. Inspired by preservation, poetry and mid-century design I am dedicated to seeing unexpected beauty in the everyday.

As a museum curator in the Arizona desert, I care for 2,000 year old ancestral objects for future generations. As a 1957 mid-century modern homeowner, I am enthusiastic about historic preservation in my local community of Chandler, Arizona.

I research and create in an mcm design-inspired studio under six 50’ swaying palm trees planted in 1956. In particular, I document the architectural legacy of Chandler’s mid-century architect Glenn A. McCollum, AIA.

Photo prints are available for purchase in 13x19 and 8.5x11 (8x10) sizes.

To email me just click on the little envelope. I love being part of conversations and collaborations that involve creativity, history and historic preservation.
